This was my first Kentico Connection and I would firstly like to say a special thanks to Kentico for arranging it all!

Kentico Connection event was held in Pullman London St. Pancras Hotel for 2 days October 7-8 and it was in a great location, very easy to get to. The day started off with Kentico's very own Petr Palas, Kentico Software CEO introducing what Kentico are achieving and the direction they wish to go. There were 3 tracks planned Technical, Partner and Marketing.

There were some great presentations from other Partners, Kentico and Sponsors. Not to forget my very own presentation on Content Centric Responsive Web Design.

This was a great opportunity for me to explain how we, MMT Digital, build and focus on Content Centric web sites. For the people who attended, I hope they enjoyed my presentation and remember my key point about letting the content lead the breakpoints not the device.

There was some fun added into the presentation in trying to help London beat Boston with the number of Twitter mentions for #KenticoConnection :), hopefully we succeeded!

Day 1 was rounded off with a Social Night at the Emirates Stadium.

The second day of Kentico Connection was really useful. Again there were some in depth presentations on show and speaking to fellow Kentico Partners and Kentico team members was extremely helpful in seeing how Kentico is represented and how everyone enjoys working with it.

There are some exciting times to look forward to in terms of Kentico developments. Kentico revealed some really interesting features for Version 8 and showed how they were planning for the future. The Kentico team are really dedicated and committed to their customers and looking to improve all the time.

Version 8

So the key things to look out for in Version 8 :-

  • New User Interface

  • Form Builder - looks really good

  • Module Builder - seems like modules will be easier to create and update

  • Smart Search - this looks impressive

  • E-commerce

I am really excited about the new version and I can't wait to try it out! Overall Kentico Connection was an amazing experience and I can't wait for the next one.

Finally - Responsive Images Web Part

Ok, so as I mentioned in my presentation, I am just finishing off the Responsive Images Web Part, so stay tooned and it will be appearing in the Kentico Marketplace really soon.
