Digital Ribbon cut by local MP

Last Friday saw the official opening of our new offices in Uppingham by our local MP and the Shadow Secretary of State for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform, Alan Duncan. Having performed the traditional cutting of the Ribbon on the way into the office he was then asked to perform a slightly less conventional cutting of the Digital Ribbon. This was a test of general knowledge and memory as he had to pull together various bits and pieces of information to create a Username and Password to unlock the network.

After many jokes at the expense of our Bank Manager (congratulations on retaining that smile Stuart) and during the aftermath of a buffet lunch the question was posited as to how were we coping with the Recession and was it a good idea to be moving into new offices whilst the largest financial crisis the world has seen for 60 years appears to be upon us.

The short answer to this question was 'Yes'. In short we feel that the upcoming recession will provide opportunities for digital businesses as it is measurable and cost-effective when applied to other media which are available and that the underlying area of digital is growing.
